River Reels Film Festival

Film festival and fundraiser for UVic Whitewater Club

This year the UVic Whitewater Club is bringing AQ outdoors' film competition River Reels to campus! Started in 2009, River Reels features all kinds of paddling movies that you don't want to miss, including extreme Whitewater kayaking and urban river surfing. Attending automatically puts you in the running for our amazing door prizes and raffle prizes from sponsors: Arcteryx Victoria, Yipyak, Ocean River Sports, Best Coast Outfitters, Boulder House, Crag X, AQ Outdoors, NRS, Fernwood Coffee Company, Country Grocer Royal Oak, Grove Outdoors & UVic Bookstore.

→ Tickets can be ordered online up to January 11th for $20, or at the door for $25.

The event will be held in the Bob Wright Flurry Hall (BWC B150) on January 18th from 6:15pm to 9:00pm. Each ticket purchased includes 5 raffle tickets for an Arcteryx Atom Hoodie and 1 draw prize ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be bought at the door for the Arcteryx Hoodie.

This event is also a fundraiser to help us raise money for the whitewater club. As you may have heard, the future of the McKinnon Pool is uncertain, and we haven't been able to host pool sessions. The funds from this event will go towards renting pool space for the club and a donation to BC Whitewater.
