Interested in whitewater paddling? Our club is dedicated to introducing new people into the sport, providing a safe environment to learn new skills and progress in the sport, and finally to provide a paddling community full of excited and passionate individuals who love whitewater! Weekly pool sessions with knowledgeable instructors are a great way to learn all of the basic skills necessary for getting out on the river. All of the equipment, pool time, and instruction is included with club membership. Becoming a member of this club is the least expensive and most fun way to learn this amazing sport. No experience necessary and over the last few years several club members with no whitewater experience have progressed to be class 4/5 kayakers, while many more have been introduced to the sport. Come on out and join the best club on campus!
Interested in river trips? Take a look at our trip primer document (Trip Primer) to help you get an idea of what you'll be learning, why you should know it, and what to expect on your first trip.
To join the club, a $40.00 membership fee per semester can be paid directly through the front desk at either McKinnon gym, or the CARSA membership services desk. This membership fee covers gear rentals, instruction, and pool sessions.
