Hockey - Men’s

The UVic Hockey Club is a competitive club that plays in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League which has 5 teams, including: UVic, SFU, VIU, Okanagan Lakers & newly created Logan Lake Miners. The league is pursuing interest from additional teams across the province. UVic has captured the BCIHL Championship five times in league history, most recently in the 2024/25 season after defeating VIU 3-0. The league features the talents of many skilled players who have chosen to pursue post-secondary education after their time in Junior A, Junior B, and the WHL. This gives students that wish to study at the University of Victoria the opportunity to continue playing a very dynamic and competitive level of hockey while acquiring a degree from a highly reputable institution.

Players wishing to play for the UVic Men's Hockey Club can contact team personnel to get a better understanding of the team's recruitment efforts and what commitments are required of players. In addition, the team holds a competitive selection camp in September where UVic students are welcomed to showcase their skills and compete for a spot on the team.
